Risk Assessments are required by legislation. Having relevant Risk Assessments that are completed by 'competent' people, with effective and attainable control measures is just one part of the holistic approach to public safety. The risk assessment process is not complete when the hazards have been identified. It is the management of risk through the implementation of controls and monitoring of their effectiveness that provides evidence of compliance... Therefore Event Safety Planning (ESP) can supply:-

  • Management system for identifying hazards and significant risks
  • Up to date information for Risk Assessments in accordance with new Legislation i.e. Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
  • Risk Assessment by qualified Chartered Institute Environmental Health members for Food matters.
  • Risk Assessment Templates if you have competent persons to complete these in house
  • Advice relating to effective control measures and dynamic 'on line' processing
  • Safe Systems of Work and Permits to Work where necessary
  • Interpretation of 3rd party assessments & management of their control
  • Risk Assessments for Emergency situations such as evacuations
  • Fire Risk Assessments that comply with the new Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Management systems for monitoring, reviewing and enforcement

The list of services is not exclusive and will be tailored to meet your individual needs. ESP has extensive knowledge of the requirements of Health and Safety legislation and recognises that the event organiser needs common sense advice to protect the event from the possibilities of litigation either criminal via the Health and Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Police or other Enforcement Authority and civil claims by employees, competitors and members of the public due to a breach of the duty of care owed.

ESP will ensure that documentation is logical and methodical, so you as the event organiser can have the control you need to meet your obligations. Safe systems and procedures along with accurate assessments are paramount to incident prevention and show that you are not only committed to Health and Safety but also that you consider your social responsibility as a key objective.

There are many different methods for producing risk assessments and you can either use the ESP template or we will adapt your own preferred format. Whichever style you choose you can be assured that you will be supplied with comprehensive and professional documents that will be an asset to your event.
